One of Fort Madison Community Hospital's goals is to promote and encourage healthy lifestyles by providing programs and services aimed at health and safety education, illness and injury prevention and overall health and wellness.  Fort Madison Community Hospital strives to meet this goal by providing a wide range of programs on a regular basis.

Tours & Educational Speakers

Tours of the hospital are available to the public and can be tailored for different ages and groups. FMCH can also provide educational speakers for different group meetings, classes or gatherings. CPR Training

FMCH has several American Heart Association certified instructors for CPR training. CPR classes are scheduled monthly for both health care providers and the public-at large. For more information on CPR training, please call FMCH Education at 319-376-2223.

Expectant Parents

The BirthPlace offers a series of prenatal education classes for expectant parents to help answer your questions and prepare you for the changes ahead. All educational classes are free of charge and designed for both the mother and her partner or support person. Classes are held at Fort Madison Community Hospital. Pre-Registration is required for most classes by calling 319-376-BABY (2229). 

S.H.I.I.P. Program

FMCH sponsors the Senior Health Insurance Information Program through which seniors can receive help interpreting Medicare/Insurance information. To make an appointment with a S.H.I.I.P. volunteer, please call 319-376-2249.
