Support GroupsMeetings are the third Thursday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the FMCH Conference Rooms. The Cancer Support Group is open to all cancer patients, their family members and support persons. 2008 Cancer Support Group Dates January 17 February 21 March 20 April 17 May 15 June 19 July 17 August 21 September 18 October 16 November 20 December 18 Additional meetings are sometimes scheduled, please call the FMCH Education Department at 319-376-2223 for more information. This group typically meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, excluding June, July, August and December, at 7:00 p.m. in the FMCH Canella Conference Room. At each meeting a guest speaker will focus on a topic relating to diabetes. This group meets four times a year on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the FMCH Willard Conference Room. Mothers and their new babies are invited to attend the “Weigh In” support group at Fort Madison Community Hospital every Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 11 am in the FMCH Conference Rooms. Additional meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the FMCH Conference Rooms. Each support group meeting will provide mothers with a chance to “weigh in” on how motherhood is going for them and with an opportunity to weigh their babies. Pre-registration is not required to attend. For more information, call The BirthPlace at 319-376-BABY. This group meets Saturdays from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in FMCH Foggy Conference Room. There are two sessions of this class designed for parents who are concerned with children of divorce. The first session meets the second Wednesday of every other month from 8:30-11:00 a.m. in the FMCH Willard Conference Room. The second session meets from 6:00-9:30 p.m. once every three months.
