Dr. Dianne DeKeyser

Dianne DeKeyser, M.D.
Dianne DeKeyser, M.D., joined the staff of Fort Madison Community Hospital following graduation from the New York Medical College Psychiatry Residency Training Program in Westchester County, New York . As a Psychiatrist, Dr. DeKeyser specializes in helping people with depression, anxiety, stress, difficulty sleeping, addictions, pain medication withdrawal, bipolar disorder, obsessive/compulsive disorder, and other conditions.

Dr. DeKeyser sees patients in the Fort Madison Physicians & Surgeons General Psychiatry office, located in Suite 102 of the FMCH Professional Office Building. She helps patients find solutions through individual and group counseling and medication management.

The stigma of psychiatry is something Dr. DeKeyser hopes to help people overcome. “Some people believe that taking medicine prescribed by a Psychiatrist is something to be embarrassed about. However, there are genetic differences in people that contribute to how one feels and thinks. Sometimes psychiatric medications can simply level the playing field, so to speak,” explained Dr. DeKeyser.

Dr. DeKeyser moved to the Midwest to be closer to her family, who live in Washington, Iowa. She feels she has found her dream location in Fort Madison. “I have lived all over the country, and am so pleased to have found Fort Madison. I am thrilled to work at a previously recognized 100 Top Hospital in a community that is family-friendly, has four seasons and a good cost of living,” said Dr. DeKeyser.

Though Dr. DeKeyser has many special interests, including reading and traveling, she makes it known that her work is her most rewarding interest.
