What is FMCH Telehealth? 

FMCH Telehealth offers our patients the opportunity to connect with their doctor without having to come into the office. There are two types of visits:

  • Telephone appointment – patients can call into the FMCH Clinic at 319-376-2134 and request to have a telephone appointment with their provider.
  • Telehealth/Video appointment – patients who have an Android or Apple Smart phone can download the app and have a virtual visit with their provider. Telehealth/video visits can also be done on a tablet, desktop or laptop computer!

What do I need to know to make a telephone/telehealth appointment?

Patients can call into the Main FMCH Clinic, 319-376-2134, and request to have a telephone visit with their provider.  The registrar will take all of your information and schedule a time for your provider to call you back.  No special equipment needed – just a telephone.

What do I need to know to make a telehealth/video appointment?

You will need to download the app by searching for Great River UC in the app store.  Clicking the web link, or scanning the QR Code below.

How do I make an appointment with my provider?

Call the FMCH Clinic, 319-376-2134, to schedule an appointment with your provider. Just let the registrar know you want to schedule a telehealth visit with your provider and they will schedule your appointment.  You will need to allow time to download the app and set up your account prior to joining the appointment with your provider for your scheduled time.

What type of appointments will be available using telephone or telehealth/video visits?

  • General Surgery
  • General conversation with your surgeon
  • Postoperative management
  • Surgical planning
  • Wound surveillance
  • Primary Care Providers (Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine)
  • Routine visits (3, 6, 9 month or annual visits) after labs drawn
  • Medication review/change/update
  • Emergency room follow-up care
  • Diagnostic results review
  • Common ailments -Colds, congestion, flu, headache, sinus symptoms, sore throat
  • Allergies, Asthma
  • Skin conditions – rashes, athletes foot, acne, dermatitis, hives, burns
  • Infections – pink eye, shingles, 
  • Urology concerns - bladder infection, urinary Tract Infection in Adult Women, Yeast Infection
  • Gastrointestinal concerns – diarrhea, constipation, stomach flu, vomiting
  • Orthopedics
  • Post-procedure follow-up
  • Sprains & strains
  • Back pain
