What are Rehabilitation Services?

FMCH Rehabilitative Services is made up of a dedicated group of professionals who share a common goal of keeping you and your family members active and independent. These professionals work as part of your health care team to assess, treat and provide you with a plan of care that can be carried over into your everyday life.

These professionals include the following specialties: 

  • Physical Therapy: the treatment of movement disorders including muscle, bone and neurological compromise; used to help improve mobility. 
  • Occupational Therapy: focuses on treatment of the hand and upper extremity as well as activities of daily living (dressing, bathing and grooming); comprehensive home and job site evaluations; adaptive equipment (canes, walkers, etc.) recommendations and training. 
  • Speech Therapy: required when people have difficulty swallowing or talking. 
  • Aquatic Therapy: involves an exercise plan that is done in our warm water therapy pool; using the properties of water to assist in healing and performance. 
  • Pediatric Therapy: focuses on the special therapy needs of children; working with family members to help each child reach their maximum potential to function independently and confidently. 
  • Sports Therapy: focuses on prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement of the physically active individual.
  • Occupational Health Services: geared towards keeping your employees safe and healthy; treating work-related injuries, providing work conditioning and hardening therapy, evaluating worksite ergonomics, and performing functional capacity testing utilizing our BTE machine.
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation: works toward restoring the function of the heart following a heart attack or heart surgery.

FMCH Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Center is a 23,500 square foot, state of the art facility completed in 2011, featuring: 

  • Wellness Center 
  • Private Treatment Booths 
  • Warm Water Therapy Pool 
  • Dedicated Pediatric Therapy Room 
  • Occupational Therapy Center 
  • BTE Machine for “functional” rehabilitation that simulates real life activities of daily living, sport or work. 
  • Indoor Walking Track that is open for public use from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily 
  • FMCH Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic conveniently located in the same building. 

What are the hours of Rehabilitation Services?

Monday & Wednesday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. 
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
Appointments outside of these hours are available upon special arrangement.
